Magnolia virginiana
Sweet Bay or Swamp Bay (Magnolia virginiana), an evergreen or semi-deciduous shrub or tree to 30m tall. Native to the eastern United States, it is notable for its large leaves and very fragrant white to cream flowers, which seldom last more than a day or two.
