Quercus frainetto
The expanding spring foliage of the Hungarian Oak (Quercus frainetto), a deciduous tree up to 30m tall. Native to southern Italy, Turkey and the Balkans, it is notable for its pink-tinted young growth and tomentose acorn cups.
