Rhododendron 'Hotei'
Rhododendron 'Hotei' ('Goldsworth Orange' × [Rhododendron souliei × Rhododendron wardii var. wardii), a 1-1.5m tall hybrid raised by the American breeder Sifferman and introduced by Glendoick Gardens in 1968. 'Hotei' was a significant introduction as earlier yellow-flowered rhododendrons lacked hardiness. It is has been used extensively in hybridisation.
