Rose Photos

We have a huge range of stock photos of roses, covering all of the main types, including many species, Hybrid Tea (Large-flowered), Floribunda (Cluster-flowered), Climbers and Ramblers, English Roses (David Austin), Damask, Gallica, Shrub Roses, Musk Roses, Rugosa and Miniature Roses.

 

Rhododendron Photos

Our selection of rhododendron stock photos is second to none and in addition to the many garden hybrids it includes an extensive collection of species images and pictures of both deciduous and evergreen azaleas. We also have a small but ever-increasing range of vireya images.

Tree Photos

Our range of tree pictures encompasses hundreds of species, including all of best known temperate climate types, such as oaks (Quercus), maples (Acer), beeches (Fagus), flowering cherries (Prunus) and elms (Ulmus). We also have many images of New Zealand native trees, such as Kauri (Agathis), Rimu (Dacrydium) and Totara (Podocarpus), and a range of photos of palms and cycads. Some of these are yet to added.

 

Shrub Photos

Our range of stock photos of shrubs is huge and covers virtually all of the more commonly grown temperate genera, including Daphne, Cistus, Chaenomeles, Abutilon, Buddleja, Pyracantha, Kalmia, Lavandula, Protea, Leucadendron, Aucuba, Weigela, Syringa and hundreds more. Also many NZ natives, including Hebe, Pittosporum and Pseudopanax. Some of these are yet to added.

Perennial Photos

Our stock photos of perennial plants encompass all of the main garden genera and cover all seasons. Popular genera include Corydalis, Pulsatilla, Delphinium, Papaver and Hosta. We have good collections of daylily, peony and gentian pictures and many images of bedding plants or annuals. Some of these are yet to added.

 

Iris Photos

Irises are a favourite at hortiphoto.com and our image range covers many of the species and most of the more popular hybrid types, including a broad selection of bearded irises as well as Japanese and Siberian types. Some of these are yet to added.

Magnolia Photos

We have many images of magnolias, including most of the better-known New Zealand hybrids, such as the spectacular plants by the Jury family and the latest, like 'Genie'. Also included in our magnolia selection are those plants formerly classifed as Michelia.

 

Conifer Photos

Our image selection includes most of the major conifer genera, such as pines (Pinus), spruces (Picea), firs (Abies), cedars (Cedrus), cypress (Cupressus), Chamaecyparis, Thuja and junipers, from tiny rockery dwarves to some of the world's tallest trees. Some of these are yet to added.

Camellia Photos

Our camellia stock photos cover a wide range of Japonicas, Sasanquas, Reticulatas and other hybrids, as well as many species, including the tea plant (Camellia sinensis).

 

Fuchsia Photos

We have a wide range of fuchsia stock photos covering all of the main growth styles, flower and foliage forms among the hybrids and also many images of species.

Climber Photos

We have an extensive range of stock photos of climber and creepers, including the ever-popular Clematis and honeysuckles (Lonicera), as well as lesser-known beauties such as the white-flowered Lapageria. Some of these are yet to added.

 

Bulb, Corm and Tuber Photos

We have many hundreds of images of bulbs, corms and tubers, including all of the best know spring flowers, such as daffodils (Narcissus), tulips (Tulipa) and bluebells (Hyacinthoides). We also have pictures of summer- to autumn-blooming South African bulbs and a wide range of species and hybrid dahlias. Some of these are yet to added.

Cacti and Succulent Photos

Our cacti and succulent images include most of the better known and most widely cultivated types, such as Aloe, Agave, Opuntia, Echeveria and Crassula. We have photos of plants in flower and also close-ups of details such as foliage and spines. Some of these are yet to added.

 

Begonia Photos

Begonias are a hortiphoto.com speciality. We have pictures of many species, a wide range of images of tuberhybrida flowers and also photos of begonias cultivated mainly for their foliage, such as the rexes. Some of these are yet to added.

House Plant Photos

House and indoor plants are always popular and we have images of many hundreds of them, including those grown mainly for their foliage, such as Calathea and Maranta, as well as flowering house plants and also those treated as temporary indoor plants, such as cinerarias (Pericallis). Some of these are yet to added.

 

Grass and Sedge Photos

We have a good range of images of ornamental grasses, reeds and sedges, including bamboo, as well as pictures of plants in the wild. While perhaps often overlooked, these easy-care plants certainly have a place in any garden. Some of these are yet to added.

General Garden Photos

In addition to our comprehensive range of plant portraits we also have many general garden photos depicting various garden styles and natural habitats throughout the seasons. We also have a range of images of foliage textures suitable for backdrops.

 

Crop and Weed Photos

In addition to our images of ornamental plants we have a good section of photos of crops, fruits and nuts, including apples, citrus and brassicas, both field and garden-grown, as well as the weeds that can afflict them. Some of these are yet to added.
